Why do Black Men Need to Breathe?
Historically, black men have been directly impacted by systemic structures and intergenerational trauma that has psychologically altered the perspective of black men both internally and externally. Such impact creates disparities in wellness, self-efficacy, self-perception, and personal idea of success.

BM; Breathe provides an expressive and educational narrative of the conflicting ways that society perceives and interacts with black men, which then impacts the self-perception of black men. BM; Breathe addresses the complexity in surviving and living as a Black man within America within the social and environmental factors that have pressed upon each black man. Breathe utilizes innovative interventions that dismantle disparities in health and wellness, lifespan, and holistic quality of living.

Mission
BM; Breathe provides an educational, expressive, and therapeutic space of advocacy for Black men to exist validly within the context of their experiences with space to unpack, reflect, connect, and heal. This extensive intervention and empowerment operates at an individual, familial, and community level.

Vision
BM; Breathe allows the opportunity to expressively communicate the critical innocence within black men to cultivate and develop the need for security, acceptance, and healing. This in turn will restore the integrity of the black man, black family, and black community, as well as humanizing the entire existence and being of black men.
Purpose
BM; Breathe provides an expressive and educational narrative of the conflicting ways that not only society views black men, but sometimes how black men view themselves. Breathe addresses the complexity in surviving and living as a Black Man within America within the social and environmental factors that have pressed upon each black man. Breathe utilizes innovative interventions that dismantle disparities in health and wellness, lifespan, and holistic quality of living.
